Established 135 years ago, Leonardville was formed as a railroad town 25 miles to the northwest of Manhattan and long before the formation of Tuttle Creek Reservoir. Leonardville residents now benefit from easy access to the lake's boating and recreation amenities, just 12 miles from Fancy Creek State Park just north in Randolph.
Where K-State fans and Cheeseheads ... not to mention diner-style food fans, unite. This charming restaurant with family appeal opened in 2007 as a sports bar that turned into a big-time attraction for K-State Wildcats fans and Green Bay Packers fans alike. The bar is owned by Kim Nelson, who happens to be Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson's mother. Nelson memorabilia fills the restaurant.
The food packs the place on a consistent basis with the favorite menu item a stomach-busting, now famous chicken fried steak. Like a Lambeau Leap of flavor. Don't fumble and pass on the pie! It's one of many great rewards of the trip. Nelson's Landing
