Experienced waterfowl hunters guide youth hunters (ages 8-15; no hunting experience necessary). Guides instruct on topics of waterfowl, conservation and hunting. Fort Riley Outdoorsmen Group provide ammunition, lunch and safety training. Youth not required to have hunting license or permit for the hunt; encouraged to bring personal firearm and waterproof/water-resistant boots. Limited firearms available for those without. Guides arrange transportation to hunting area.

Importance of philanthropy and community engagement the impetus behind C. Clyde Jones 5-kilometer race through the K-State campus. Events open to the community; all ages and abilities welcome. Participants can enter four-person teams ($20/runner). Mr. Jones is the first dean of the College of Business, and a long-time philanthropist. Proceeds from the event benefit Shepherd's Crossing.

Register for glow paddle on Kansas River in kayak! Bring your own or rent (life jackets required). Park vehicles at Linear trailhead and bus to Fairmont Park; paddle to Linear trailhead (2 miles). Round out evening and enjoy s'mores by the campfire!
